Rest in Peace, Dear Friend |
|
After a
lifetime of service to others, Bob is now at rest. After being hospitalised
in 2016 for terrible back pain, there were other problems and a cure wasn’t
possible. On Sunday 2nd April 2017, there was
a gathering of family and close friends to celebrate his life and some video
taken on the day is below. The Camera used automatically detects faces and
takes still photos which can be viewed here. The “Titles”
and “photos from the booklet” at the start of the video were not my attempts
at being artistic, but were added to fill in the darkness while I pressed
every button to get the video to work. My final and radical solution was to
remove the lens cap (open the shutter) :{< I’m sure Bob would have found this quite
amusing. A commemorative booklet
was produced with some Photo’s and thoughts from Linda and can be found here. |

Bob was the only non-Pengelley at my 60th
birthday get together last year and some video of Bob is shared below. On the
day, he could barely move and I think he knew what was ahead as he spoke
about not being around forever. He was in hospital a short time later and
despite some significant effort, never really walked again. |
